PENWITH GALLERY SPRING MEMBERS EXHIBITION at Chapel Arts, Cheltenham

Preview - Wednesday 16th May, 6.30pm to 8pm. The exhibition will continue thereafter from the 17th May to the 9th June 2018.

The Penwith Gallery is the home of the Penwith Society of Arts based in St Ives, Cornwall. The society was founded in 1949 by Barbara Hepworth, Ben Nicholson, Peter Lanyon, Bernard Leach, Sven Berlin and Wilhelmina Barns-Graham, amongst other.

This association with so many progressive and influential artists has given the Penwith Society a unique place in Bristish Art history.

It now presents a full programme of exhibitions by members and associates of the society, together with featured exhibitions by artists from Cornwall and elsewhere.
